Dwarka city is located in the Jamnagar district of Gujarat. It is one of the most ancient cities in India and houses the famous Dwarkadhish Temple, which is one of the biggest Hindu pilgrimage places in India. Dwarka was also called Swarna Dwarka (golden Dwarka) because of itsprosperity.Dwarka is derived from 'Dwar', a door, and in ancient times its flourishing port was considered to be the gateway to the main land. As 'Ka' means 'Brahma' meaning, gateway to Moksha. It is called Dwarkamati and Dwarkavati. Being adopted home and capital of Shri Krishna after he gave up Mathura .Dwarka is also known as Mokshapur.

Rukmani Devi Temple :This small temple, 1.5km north of town, is an architectural masterpiece. Rukmini is the most important of Krishna's 16,108 wives. The temple walls are decorated with beautiful paintings depicting her pastimes with Krishna.

Gomati Ghat Temple :Gomati, the descended Ganges, meets the sea at Chakra-tirtha Ghat. To take bath where the Gomati meets the ocean is said to offer liberation.

Beyt Dwarka :Offshore from Okha, the island of Beyt Dwarka is associated with Lord Krishna. The main temple here, built in the 19th century, has several shrines and images of Lord Krishna and his 56 consorts.

Temple of Lord Nageshwar is situated in Gujarat, and is about 12 kms on way from Gomti-Dwarka to Bhet-Dwarka.The jyotirlinga enshrined in the temple of Nagnath is known as Nageshwar Mahadev.

Temple of Lord Somnath is situated near the town of Veraval in Western part of Gujarat.Somnath Jyotirlingae temple is dedicated to Someshwara, the Lord Shiva, with moon on his head.
