Kolhapur Mahalakshmi Temple :KARVEER NIVASINI SHRI MAHALAKSHMI PRASANNA The various puranas of ancient India, have listed 108 sites where shakti (the goddess of power) is manifested. Amongst these, the Karveer area (the area where the present town of Kolhapur is located), is of special significance. This is one of the six sites of Shakti, where one can get both fulfillment of desires as well as salvation from them. It is therefore considered of even greater significance than Uttar Kashi, the place where one prays for salvation. Shri Mahalakshmi is the consort of Shri Vishnu and it is said that both reside in the Karveer area eternally.

The Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swami Dattadeva temple is situated at Narsimhawadi, Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Shri Narsimha Saraswati worked for the upliftment of the poor going about from place to place. Wherever he left his padukas holy sandals behind, those areas became places of worship for the devotees. Narsinhawadi is one of these blessed lands. It is said that Shri Dattadeva himself reigns over this land to help alleviate all kinds of suffering, especially including possesion by spirits, and worldly troubles of his devotees. Thus it is considered to be a jagrut land, a land that is blessed with his presence even today.

Jyotiba is a holy site near Kolhapuri, Maharashtra, India. The deity of the temple is known by the same name, and is held by the locals to be an incarnation of three gods: Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesha, and Jamadagni. It is believed that the main deity the Jyotiba is formed from the souls of three Primary Gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Legendery stories tell that Jyotiba is formed to kill the demon Ratnasur.

Ramling Temple in Sangli district of Maharashtra is a very old and beautiful cave temple. The temple structure is very old and the main deity is a Shivalinga inside the cave. This Shivalinga is believed to be installed here by Sree Rama during his 14 year life in the forests. It is also believed that Sree Rama worshipped this idol at that time.

The caves are wet always with water dripping from the cave walls all the time. The quantity of water coming into the cave does not increase or decrease even during rainy seasons.The source of water in the cave is not identified till now. The structures around this temple are very old, dates back to centuries. The temple is located on a hill near Sangli.

Bahubali Temple :Bahubali Hill Temples are located 27 km south of Kolhapur, Maharashtra on the Bahubali Hills. Huge devotees thronged the temple to worship the 28-feet tall marble statue of Bahubali and visit the temples of the 24 Tirthankaras or saints. These hills are popularly known as 'Kumbhojgiri'.

This temple looks very beautiful and splendid. The scene of the forest and the village farms looks full of delight and beauty. People visiting these temples have to climb about 400 steps. A fair is held here on the 15th day of the bright half of the month of Kartak, on the 15th day of the bright half of the month Chaitra and on the 10th of day the dark half of the month of Magasar
