The sequence of travel for Hill Station & Pilgrimage tour Dalhousie - Patnitop - Vaishno Devi , Day one - Arrive in Pathankot / Chakki Bank Station or Pathankot Airport. Proceed to Dalhousie. Dalhousie is a British-era hill station .Day 2- Full Day sightseeing to Khajjiar (22 kms), Chamba(50 kms from Dalhousie same route as Khajjiar).Day 3 - Relax and perhaps visit few local sightseeing spots (Churches, Barkota Hills, Kalatop view points etc .Day 4 - Proceed early for Katra ( 115 Kms). Start Vaishnodevi Climb by afternoon or take a Helicopter ride and do darshan and return by night.Day 5 and Day 6 - Proceed by noon for Patnitop (100 kms - 3.5 hours), an idyllic hill station at 5000 ft asl. Reach by evening. Visit Sanasar, Sudh Mahadev, Mantalai the next day.Day 7 - Return to Jammu (120 kms - upto 4 hours), visit local temples (Raghunath Mandir etc.) for onward journey.

Dalhousie is the gateway of the Chamba Valley, is called the "gem of hills" and was named after Lord Dalhousie. This charming little town has the potential of being a round-the-year tourist destination even when covered with white layers of snow during winter. Sprawling over five little wooded hill of pine and oak, it is a perfect place for holidaying amidst picturesque surroundings, wooded slopes, thick forests, and conifers - an oasis of beauty and solitude.

The Vaishno Devi hindu pilgrimage is nestled in the Trikuta Mountain. It lies 61 km north of Jammu in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir. Perched at a height of 5,200 feet above the sea level, Vaishno Devi is a cave in the lower Himalayas. Katra, the town at the foot of the Trikuta hills is the base camp for the Vaishno Devi shrine. Katra is 48 km from Jammu.

Patnitop or Patni Top is a hill top tourist spot located in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated on a secluded plateau in the Shiwalik belt of the Himalayas, Situated amidst picturesque surroundings, Patnitop lies at an altitude of 2,024 m above sea level in the Lower Himalayan Ranges.
