Itinerary for Backwater Tour Cochin - Kumarakom - Alleppey
Day one arrive Cochin Airport/Railway Station transfer to the hotel. Cochin is situated on the south west coast of Indian Peninsula. It is known as the queen of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway to Kerala. Local tour of cochin. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St:Francis Church, Chinese fishing nets and Bolgatty Palace.
Day Two drive to Kumarakom - a place considered as a honeymooners paradise. Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake. The lush green vegetation and the climate attract a number of tourists to this place. On reaching Kumarakom check in the backwater resort and relax for the rest of the day at the resort.
Day three Kumarkoam- Morning after breakfast drive out for the local tour. Visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary, house boat jetty and others. Later in the evening return back to the resort for an overnight stay.
Day four Alleppey -Morning after breakfast check into the deluxe houseboat to enjoy the 24 hours of backwater cruise from Kumarakom to Alleppey. This journey is considered to be one of the best attractions. The house boat is fully furnished with single and double bedrooms, sundeck, private balcony and a kitchen. It also comprises a chef, driver & cabin assistant .Spend a night at the house boat.
Day five - Alleppey -Morning after breakfast check out of the houseboat, Alleppey which is also known as Alappuzha beauty is not merely in the backwaters, but also in the man-made islands that you will find amidst the waters. Relax for sometime and later move out for the local tour of Alleppey, visit Alleppey Beach, Kuttanad - the rice bowl of Kerala, and so on. Later in the evening check into the resort for an overnight stay at Alleppey.
Day Six- Morning after breakfast drive to Cochin airport to board your flight to the onwards destination.
