Temple Activities

On the eve of completion of 100 years the Trust for the first time, declared awards and recognized the services of several social workers and prominent personalities by offering them a momento and cash prize of Rs. 5000/- each. Few respected personalities like Tatyasaheb Gosavi and some others from Maharashtra were the recipients of the awards. In the year 2000, the Trust felicitated Shri Vijay Kuvalekar, a well known Journalist, the editor in chief of Sakal Newspaper of Pune and a well known social worker, educationist and Advocate Shri B. E. Avhad. Every year the Trust felicitates such persons. On the eve of of the 20th century, the Trust has introduced a scheme whereby the great personalities of the country right from Pujy Aasaram Bapuji to scientist Dr. Vasant Gowarikaar, Educationist S. B. Muzumdar, Dr. Patangrao Kadam will be felicitated in a special ceremony. The trust regularly conducts Sanskar Vargas on every Sundays, offers services to the pilgrims who walk upto Pandharpur every year. The trust also gives patronage to the upcoming vocalists and arranges their concerts to provide them a platform. Every year Mrs. Kalyani Namjoshi and Mr. Ajit Kulkarni offer their services in the form of vocal recitals. Prakash Rangnath Dixit also offers to the temple with enchanting Pravachans on the eve of Gurupoornima and Dattatraya Jayanti. The trust also intends to increase it's welfare activities by setting up a Yoga institution. This work is under progress. Proper accounts of the offerings made by the devoteese in cash and kind are kept and the returns are submitted to the charity commissioner every year.
