History Of Temple
About 100 years ago one pious lady in the Pune city late Smt. Laxmibai Dagdu Halwai, installed a Datta Temple as per the advice of her Guru viz. Shri Madhavnath of Indore, who was a great devotee of Lord Gurudatta. The late Madhavnath had visited Pune. There is a shrine and Gadi of Shri Madhvnath in the old city of Pune. There are several desciples of Madhvnath scattered allover the country.
